RVP42-9ME/RVP42-BW represents an advanced motion radar detector designed specifically for industrial doors, garage doors, cold storage doors, road gates, and similar applications. It boasts high-performance capabilities in both vehicle and human detection. Equipped with dual relays for detecting vehicles and pedestrians, it offers the flexibility to activate the appropriate relay output as required. Additionally, RVP42-9ME/RVP42-9BW features an innovative recognition and filtering function for effectively discerning horizontally moving vehicles or pedestrians.

Working principle

1. Microwave Radar Signal Emission:

   • The sensor emits microwave signals through its antenna at a specific frequency and power level, propagating these signals into the target area, typically the detection zone in front of an automatic door.

2. Reflection of Microwave Signals by Targets:

   • When a person or vehicle enters the detection zone, they reflect the microwave signals. The physical characteristics of the target (such as shape and size) affect the characteristics of the reflected signals.

3. Reception of Microwave Signals:

   • The sensor's receiver picks up the microwave signals reflected by the target. These received signals are then fed into the signal processing unit for further analysis.

4. Signal Analysis and Target Classification:

   • The signal processing unit analyzes the received signals to determine the target's properties, including its position, speed, and size.
   • The target is classified as either a person or a vehicle, allowing for different control strategies based on the type of target.

5. Decision on Door Action:

   • If the system determines that the detected target is a person, it triggers a control action, typically through coordination with other devices such as relays.
